Still haven't determined how to mount his darn thing. the instructions are vague at best.

I just replaced my Rod Saver tie down strap, the last one lasted for 7 years of heavy use. This strap is a must when fishing/boating in rough water, I fish the Great Lakes & Lake St. Clair.
The strap hold the motor down when the motor is in the up position, stopping the motor from bouncing up and down on the bracket.
After 7 years of hard use the Velcro had become weak, I got my moneys worth out of the last one.
Very happy with this product.

This is a 10". My trolling motor is 11" from the deck. Will this adjust more than the 10" advertised? Thanks.

Ok... So I bought one and now can answer my own question. It works! If just wrapping around the motor shaft near the head of the trolling motor, this will adjust and reach 12" and maybe 13" from above the deck. Hope this info helps. Great product!1 of 1
