Road Runner Curly Tail
good crappie bait
I like using this bait for crappie fishing. I like the Flourescent Red/ White.

This is one of the best lures I have ever used. It differs from a regular beetle spin because the spinner is far away from the actual lure. It also differs from a beetle spin because you tie your line to the lure, not the spinner. I have actually caught a lot of bass on the 1/16 version of this lure all ranging from a 1/2 pound to 2 pounds. I have also caught bluegill, crappie, and even inshore saltwater species all on the 1/16 version of this lure. I promise you to not be disappointed when you buy this lure. The only problem I have is that it is a little pricey. Other than that it is a great lure.

Blakemore Road Runner Curly Tail
I used the # 20 and # 62 curly tail and the skirt one and hammered not only crappie, but also 12 northern pike in northern Michigan. Northerns were caught trolling, and most of the 39 crappies were caught slow jigging over the holes. What a time, especially using 4 # test line on ultra lite rods, even the pike (almost 27 inches and 5 pounds). Between myself and the friends that went fishing or were told this about the Road Runner, we've purchased over $300 in the last month. They work and I thank Jimmy Houston and his show for the tip.
