Scott Martin used the River2Sea Rover in winning the 2011 Forest Wood Cup. Adding his own hand-tuned effects, Martin created a slashing, knocking topwater bait that fish can't ignore. By tail weighting the lure, Martin slightly elevated the face, giving the Rover a whole new attitude and more action.

  • Slashing, knocking topwater design
  • Hand-tuned effects
  • Weighted tail
  • Tungsten Weight Force System

Spotted bass crush it Great hooks, great sound, great color options, and great feathers on the rear hook. Just an overall great topwater lure. You can cast it across the lake with the right set up. The larger version has 3 hooks and that equals hook ups for those spots that just slash at it. Fish usually crush it and don't come off. June 29, 2014
Best walk the dog bait yet! I fish a lot of "spook" baits, vixxen, rovers, spooks, dawgs... you get the point. This lure has the same basic body as a vixxen but at a much better price point. Yes, it can be hard to "walk" it correctly. There is a learning curve. Once you get it down though, you can not beat the action the Rover has. It will glide nice and wide or have a great lightning pattern. The hooks are great and the paint is very durable. I would heartily encourage the experienced dog walkers out there to purchase these lures. March 26, 2014
Stick with a Zara Spook I tried the 5" 3/4 rover, I'll keep my spooks. I could not keep the line from rapping around the front hooks!!!! Not just once either, time after time. I bought 2 of the 12 dollar 1's, save ur money ....... November 9, 2013
