Sitting still, many lures look like frogs, but when put into motion most simply skim or plow the surface of the water. The Dahlberg Diver Frog is different. Give this lure a pull and it dives, creating a soft chain of bubbles, with its legs kicking out behind it—just like a real frog. Stop and its legs retract, as it slowly rises until its eyes poke out above the surface. Repeat, but instead of letting the Diver Frog return to the surface, continue to stroke and stop. The legs kick and retract, kick and retract, like a swimming frog. With each stroke, the Diver Frog will continue to gain a couple of inches of depth until it reaches a depth of 24-30". In the shallows, swim it down into the bottom, shake it and let it rise.
A unique "overhead" diving collar with built-in weed guard allows it to skip over vegetation. You can also make it nose into the bottom like a frog trying to hide in the mud.

Bought this lure after seeing it's action and loved it. Couldn't wait to take it on my trip to Canada smallie fishing. The 3 to 4 lb smallies nailed it when the pearch colored Pop-R's stopped working. The only problem was the hook size was way too big to get any hook ups. I missed at least 35 fish on this lure in one day. I installed a spinnerbait trailer hook and it messed with the leg action, but I did start getting hook ups then. I bought the smaller size but it still comes with a 6/0 hook. Largemouth is not a problem, but for water shaking smallmouth, this lure would work much better with a 3/0 or 2/0 hook.

This is the greatest frog I've ever seen, it literally looks and acts like a real frog in the water! The legs and everything is just perfect. You can fish it down or let it float and fish it on top.
