I used to carry more tools than rods and reels it seemed. I needed a pair of needle nose, a pair of split ring pliers, a pair of scissors to cut braid. This has it all.
The pliers will open split rings with ease, with it's split ring tip. It will crimp barbs, and flatten sleeves with it's flat portion of the pliers. It will cut braid with the small scissor portion. It has a hole for easy attachments to lanyards.
Great locking mechanism. 6" is good for smaller bass, panfish, etc. The bigger model, which Bass Pro doesn't carry, is better for larger or toothier fish.
