My kayak had these hooks installed for securing the seat back they broke after several years of use. I tried using metal hooks from bungie cords they worked but the eventual rusted. I replaced the metal with a set of these to go back to the original. They are cheap and easy to install and I know they may eventually break but hey the are cheap.

Light, strong, and cheap 1,001 uses. I've used this collar lock before, they work very well.
