UV stabilized, this durable plate features a locking system that prevents over tightening, jamming and cross threading for easy opening and closing for years. Rated 5 out of 5 by Buy it! I bought this to install for my front and rear hatches on my ocean kayak Malibu 2xl. It cost way less compare to other places I've checked. The only thing that is bad about this hatch is that it's a little sticky when you try to open it. This minor problem was fixed when I stick one piece of Velcro on the lid to add a grip. Yes it does. It fits in a small channel in the ring that mounts to the deck and the knife edge of the lid locks up against it.

Yes, if you are referring to an internal gasket ring. If you are missing the internal ‘o-ring’, please contact the manufacturer or us. Thanks
Otherwise, No, the 6” Quarter Turn Deck plate does not come with a mounting gasket (although there should be an internal ‘o-ring’ that goes between the base and lid included) … for mounting purposes, the manufacturer recommend that anybody installing this plate should just use a bead of marine grade silicone to ensure that water does not leak into the boat.
