Remington Viper .22 LR Rimfire Ammo
Yellow Jacket's Cousin
I love this ammo and it is worth every penny.
It is accurate, highly dependable, and has low recoil.
Perfect for tacking care of armadillos, possums, or what ever else happens to be on your back porch tonight.
I have not had a misfire with this ammo or its cousin the Yellow Jacket.
I shoot tight groups open sight so if you have a scope you should be able to put them though the same hole.
I shot at two sheets of 3/4in plywood with 1in of foam in between and the shots grouped under a inch and the first thee took out a circle with a 3in diameter.
By the way did any one else notice the Rattle Snake on the Viper box?

I have been a huge believer in Remington rimfire ammunition ever since I learned to shoot. This is the only Remington ammo (I hope) that will ever get a 1 star from me.
I sighted in several rimfire rifles with my normal "go to" Remington ammo and then took out the Viper .22's. My first two shots were low left, off 2" from where I had zero'd the rifle...initially I thought, ok, this ammo shoots low left. Then, it started going high left, low right, left, high right, and then one didn't even hit the paper. I was speechless, I thought I messed my scope up or something, so, I double checked everything, cleaned the barrel and tried again. I had the exact same result. I then went back to my normal Remington ammo, shot 15 rounds and had a 1/2 inch group at 50 yards.I repeated the same process of shooting the Viper ammo with other .22's and I got the same result.
If you are buying the Viper .22's just to throw down range for fun or to shoot out of a .22 revolver. I say go for it. BUT, if you are looking for accuracy at the range or small game hunting, look at other .22 ammo Remington makes.
I will still purchase Remington rimfire ammunition, just not the Viper .22's.

Always been a GREAT Bullet
I have used these shells through at least 3 decades and still have them on my shelf. Only problem I have is finding a place that have them. I have only 3 boxes left and then it's history for me. They have been very dead on and I have never heard one glance into the wild blue. Always dropped turtles and other game on the spot. I Love Them

My Marlin M60 is very sensitive towards ammo. I have tried many brands and have had feeding problems. Tried Vipers and found that they cycle as well as CCI Mini Mags for less money. Vipers are my every day practice and plinking ammo. I would have given 5 stars, but for 4 misfires in 200 rounds. It is reasonably accurate with few "fliers".
