super duper cell by wood they ment the semi fancy wood, basically wingmaster, 1100, or 1187 premier, anything the r3 pad would fit, i bought a new 20g 1187 premier with a r3 limbsaver pad on it after a Few shots the squishy substance was grabbing my shoulder and pinching it , like a suction cup ... i decided i could do better then that, so i got this pad and i must say what a difference ... it's like a pillow on your gun. makes my 20 gauge shoot like a baby, and better yet is how good it looks(remington logos on the side) i have had mine through briars even and for 20.00 dollars there is no beating this thing, i am putting one on my 870 next... this is a must for the kids and the ladies thanks bass pro and thank you remington!! Doesn't Fit I bought the wood SuperCell for my 870 Express. Packages says it would fit wood stocks. Just like everyone else that posted. I am returning this one. August 22, 2008
Great improvement Be sure to buy the correct model for your Remington shotgun. I have an 870, and I bought the one that fits my shotgun. It is very easy to remove the original pad with a phillips screwdriver. The new pad even comes with new screws. Installation only took a few minutes, and it fit perfectly. I took it out back and fired several rounds of birdshot. I noticed the reduction in recoil right away. I am going to try buckshot and see how much lighter the recoil is. So far, so good. Better than most but not the greatest I got this pad to upgrade my 11-87 stock, getting rid of the hard rubber pad. It is not a perfect fit but I don't care (its close enough). It's a hair high and a hair narrow. It is meant for 870/1100 stocks or any that can hold R3 pads. It might fit other 11-87s, mine probably just wasn't meant to have it. (11-87 Premier) In terms of construction, it is made of polyurethane, a.k.a. rubber-like foam, like the padding inside your running shoes but softer and with more compression. For Remington it is not an upgrade from the R3 but not necessarily a downgrade either. The Supercell doesn't cling to your clothes, allowing for quick shots without snagging problems. For recoil reduction it's probably the second best product out there, right behind R3/Limbsaver. Recoil for me isn't a problem unless I shoot skeet. I personally like it, in the end it will do its job and I guarantee you that no one can dispute it, no matter what anyone will say. Plus the price is pretty good. July 17, 2008

Their are two different pads provided. One for wood and one for the newer synthetic stocks. The wood pad version many not fit due to variances in wood stocks.

If it's for a synthetic stock it will. If it's for a wooden stock, it's a hit or miss chance for a good fit.

Measure your pad and if it is 4-11/16" by 1-5/8" it will be a good fit.

A:
Please post the thickness and height of the end of your wooden stock (not including your present pad and I'll measure my pad to see how it matches up. Be advised that it'll most likely be 2 to 3 times the thickness of the stock butt pad so you may end up with a length of pull that is too long for you.

You'll need the one designed for wood since the one for synthetic stocks has a protruding center section that actually slips into the hollow stock to keep it centered.

Q #1 -- Can Bass Pro please advise the actual Remington Part # for the "Synthetic" SuperCell recoil pad (BassPro item no. 38-888-753-00)? I want to confirm it is the same as Remington Part # F301519... [see photo; pad with "30159" on it is the SuperCell] Q #2 -- Aso, can anyone confirm whether the SuperCell pad for Synthetic stocks comes with screws and are they Remington Part # F202537 "R3 recoil pad screw - 1" Philips" - which are silver colored with a one-piece integral washer style head to properly secure each of the two shorter hard material tubes inside the SuperCell pad to the holes in the stock? Note: these are *different* screws than those which came with the black rubber factory-installed pad typically provided on synthetic Model 870 Express shotgun stocks; those screws are black, longer, and have smaller 'standard' style Philips woodscrew type heads - so they will fit the different style holes, etc. in the factory-installed pad... [see photos of two types of screws and of inside a synthetic stock]

Part 19471 is the wooden stock kit. Part 19472 is the synthetic stock kit. Both come with the correct screws for their application.
I'm not sure what the number printed on the inside of the recoil pad is for.

I bought the supercell pad for my rem870 with synthetic shurshot stock. If fit perfectly. I can't remember whether it came with the screw or whether I used the original...but I didn't have to buy anything extra. I think that it just came with the correct screw.

The synthetic kit is for synthetic stocks. There is a kit for wooden stocks, but because of inconsistencies in Remington's wooden stock sizes, it's a hit or miss chance at a perfect fit.

A:
Yes, if it's for a synthetic stock. The wood kit is not always a perfect fit because of manufacturing inconsistencies in Remington's wooden stocks.
