Remington SuperCell Recoil Pads
getting soft in my old age
Bought pad today and installed. Removed unpadded butt plate from 1100, 40+- year old gun. The pad Increased length of stock 3/4 in. The length of the fit was about a 1/3" short at bottom point, the the sides and top were close. My shoulder can't take an unpadded butt anymore; hope this helps. I am guessing that the fit varies as to age and type of butt factory installed. If I was more particular I probably would have returned, but I'm not.

Does not fit
I bought this for an older 1100 20g. It does not fit, despite the description saying it does. The holes line up for the screws but that's about it. It's a good 1/8 inch short on either side and at least 3/8 inch too dang short. So yeah, it 'fits', it just doesn't line up properly and does not cover the end of the stock. Don't buy this, get an aftermarket model from someone else.

Synthetic vs. Wood
The Remington SuperCell recoil pad is an excellent buy and works as good as the pricier models. The one made for the synthetic stock is a guaranteed fit every time because of consistency in the making of Remington synthetic stocks. However, the one for the wooden stocks is a hit or miss occurrence because of the inconsistent sizing of Remington wooden stocks when they're made.

A better recoil pad
I found these SuperCell recoil pads to be much softer and reduce felt recoil. They installed easily and the fit was very close to original recoil pad, I think some older guns are a bit off for these. I measure the "wood" recoil pad as 4-11/16" by 1-5/8", wish Remington would list size information on these.
