Rated 4.1 out of 5 by 13 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Remmington its a good strong and tough product that has a good camo patter and easy to put on November 22, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Easy Replacement Once the gun is disassembled everything fits well, no problems. July 8, 2010
Rated 5 out of 5 by Light, & Nice Replacement I got this for the 870 to replace the wood stock. Instructions were easy to follow, stock was a little tricky to bolt on. Really light weight, great mossy oak pattern, and sturdy. January 19, 2009
Rated 5 out of 5 by Looks Great! I bought this replacement stock for my 11-87 when the wood stock cracked. I was very pleased with how it turned out. The change out was pretty simple and it looks great. The quality is far superior to the factory stock. December 28, 2008

They do make youth stock but unfortunately Bass Pro does not carry them through catalog or Internet sales. I would contact a Outdoor World store to see if they have them. Here is the contact information for the stores http://www.basspro.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CFPageC?appID=94&storeId=10151&catalogId=10001&langId=-1

no. The 20 gauge has a small notch at the top of the stock and the 12 gauge won't fit into the gun

A:
The stock will fit a light contour gun, but the forearm will not. It will be too loose. The only solution I know of is to buy a standard contour barrel, and then the plastic forearm will fit. Standard contour barrels are not hard to find on GunBroker.Com.

A:
They say what models it fits right below each choice. 1100 or 11-87 or 870. Your model 48 is obsolete. Put it up or pawn for around 100$.

A:
These stocks are for model 870s or 11/87 type remington shotguns. They were not made to fit a model 48.

As to custom made stocks, it varies by gunsmith and that would require talking to a local one to find out.
