These electronic earmuffs selectively monitor sound, shutting out anything above 84 decibels. But they let normal conversation through with individual controls. Lightweight and thin profile with adjustable headband. Batteries included.

I have used a few different types of electronic ear muffs in the past and had very good luck until I purchased the Remingtons. Due to the high price paid and the Remington name, I assumed they would be a quality product.
I was a little disappointed with the construction and fit when I took them out of the package but today when I took them to the range was the real disappointment. The worked fine for about two minutes. After my first course of fire, the right ear channel stopped working and simply buzzed in my ear. So, I turned it off and went solely with the left channel. About ten minutes later that one began to go in and out and stopped working. I also did not care for the control switches. they were very hard to turn on and off while on my head.
I have since purchased another brand for about two thirds the cost and they work much, much better.

I just had a set of electronic Peltor's roll belly up after 5 years of use. I'm attending a match out of town and thought I'd get a new pair. BassPro doesn't carry the Peltor brand so I bought the Remington branded Radians.
The right side works fine. The left side hisses loudly as soon as the switch is turned on.
I liked the switch & volume knob placement making it difficult to turn on accidently.
I'll try to swap them out tomorrow and review again.

I've had a pair of these for years now.
They work, and best of all they work when you're shooting a rifle or shotgun.
Other designs break their seal if you're holding the rifle properly. These don't get in my way, plus I can turn one side of my head off or up to tailor my needs.
