Rated 4.5 out of 5 by 25 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by 2 inch group at 50 yards open sights I was able to get a 2 inch group using the 12 Gauge 2 3/4 inch loads at 50 yards. I can't put a scope on my Tracker II Slug barrel made by H&R. I figured that this is pretty good for that range. I will buy more to try to tighten up the group. This slug does exactly what the description states. I dug one out of the snow and it does have 2x expansion. It does open right up. Recoil is withstandable. Not too hard. You should try these if you want a solid copper bullet. March 7, 2008
Rated 5 out of 5 by dead deer slug I've used copper solids for 3 years now with my winchester 1300 slug gun. I've shot 3 bucks, and 3 does with this round. 5 of the 6 didn't move once shot. The other was a huge buck full of spunk, and managed to run 75 yards even after a double lung/heart shot. I love these bullets!! I'm just now writing this review because I decided to try the cheaper Hornady SST's this year(Used the copper solids to shoot my buck, then played with the SST's for a doe). I shot a doe at 75 yards, solid hit, and she ran down hill. Upon inspection, no blood, hair, nothing. Searched for over an hour. Very disappointing. A couple hours later I shot a button buck through the front shoulder(quartering to me), and it dropped in it's tracks because the bullet went through and dissentegated upon hitting the hind quarter. When field dressed, there was a perfect, small, well defined hole through the lung and liver. NO Mushrooming at all. Later that evening, shot another doe at 75 yards. Once again, no blood, hair. She even limped and stumbled for thirty yards before taking off across a 10 acre field as if nothing had happened. The copper solids are a far better choice for a ethical hunter, that wants to find what he shoots. December 20, 2007
Rated 5 out of 5 by big buck down this is a great shot to have in your chamber when it comes down crunch time. I have never had to track a deer after shooting one with this bullet. Every time its "one shot, one deer". Theres nothing better than being able to shoot long distances with a shotgun. November 8, 2007
Rated 2 out of 5 by Good accuracy, poor results I wanted a more accurite sabot slug for my 1100 with a rifled tube and scope. I tried these and got decent results on paper (2 1/2"-3" groups at 100 yrds.) I shot 2 deer in missouri at normal range (25-75 yards) with good shot placement and lost both animals. I have never lost a deer in my life, even with a bow. I am going back to the Win. BRI's. September 26, 2007
