The best I found I tried 4 or 5 other types of slugs through my Remington 870. These were the most accurate. I have not taken them hunting yet, but I will in a couple days. Bass Pro's price is a little high. If you look you can find good deals on them. The pictures show my groupings at 50yds November 24, 2011
PERFECT MUSHROOM EFFECT! I JUST SHOT AN EIGHT POINT THIS WEEKEND WITH A COPPERSOLID 3 INCH......THE BUCK DROPPED RIGHT IN HIS TRACKS AND I RETRIEVED THE FULLY EXPANDED BULLETS!!!!AWSOME KNOCKDOWN POWER PROOF IN THE PICS! December 5, 2010
Amazing This was my first year using the copper solid slugs i shot a 8 point buck and a doe. The slug stop the doe in its tracks. Bad shot placement on the buck and shooting thru 5 yards of brush still brought the 275 pounder down i didnt even hit any vitals the slug made a big hole and it bled out, it was amazing! They are worth 100% of the price, ill be using them from now on! August 31, 2006
Remington Copper Solid Sabot Slug I discovered the Copper Solid a few years back when I experimented with a number of slugs to see what shot accurately and consistantly with my Mossberg 500 equipped with a fully rifle barrel. I am now producing groups less than three inches at 100 yards with my 500 and a Pentax red dot scope...I can't complain about that. I have found that the knockdown power is more than sufficient as well. I have taken two big-bodied bucks with these slugs and haven't had to track either buck...Dead right there! I can't say enough about my satisfaction with this ammunition. I can now only hope these will be the slug of choice for my new Remington as well! July 28, 2010

Mary, these are for rifled barrels. Look for the phrase, "RIFLED SLUGS or RIFLED SABOTS." W/O spin you are throwing a knuckle ball. Federal TRU-BALLS will work well.
