  • As hard and round as copper-plated shot
  • Will pattern as well as other copper-plated, buffered loads
  • 1210 fps with 80% pattern densities
Shot that’s as hard and round as copper-plated shot. In fact, Nitro Turkey Magnums will pattern just as well as other copper-plated, buffered loads. 1210 fps with 80% pattern densities. 10 rounds per box.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Nitro Turkey Load WOW, I picked these up just cause they were cheap and I wanted to try a #5 load. I patterened these in at 30yds. with my mossberg 500 and a Primos tite wad choke tube and was absolutely blown away by how awesome these patterend and they had the knock down power I was looking. I was shooting #6 loads and they just didn't have that extended range power I was looking but I will never look for another load to shoot....THESE NITRO'S ARE AWESOME!!!!!! April 28, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great for the 3 inch #5 shot in a 20 gauge I shot this Rio down in Texas he was 29 lbs, 8 inch beard, 1 1/2 inch spurs it only took on shot. He was bout 35 yards. The max i would shoot a turkey with the 20 ga version is about 40-45 yards. April 26, 2011
Rated 5 out of 5 by Great Pattern Short story. I have been turkey hunting since 2002. Up until last year my dad and I had been shooting winchester supremes 3" #5 shot. I shoot a franchi 612 and he a benelli m1. Had never had a problem killing birds. The supremes slammed them out to 50 yards, but the patternes were never real tight. A friend of mine, who was a 1st year turkey hunter showed up when we went to pattern the guns with these nitro turkey loads. He is shooting a franchi I-12. At 20 yards, the 8" shoot n see target turned almost completely yellow. Wow! We backed to 30 same result. Tightest pattern i've ever seen. At 40, a little wider but still tigher than the supremes, So my dad and I borrowed some of his loads and had the exact same results in our guns. We are all shooting H.S. undertaker turkey chokes as well. The supremes treated us well, but the nitro turkey loads pattern tighter, out of our guns, and are a little softer on the shoulder. Every gun can be different so try different loads, but these are a winner in 3 guns. I shot 2 birds last year, dad shot one, and the friend didn't connect, but all the birds were at 25-30 yards and none took another step after the trigger was pulled. Overall great load, and cheaper than most other turkey loads. They will be in my gun from now on. March 25, 2011
Rated 4 out of 5 by Good Purchase These shells patterned very well in my 870, and i can't wait to kill a turkey with them. March 13, 2011

A:
NO, MAGNUM IS A SELLING PIONT ADDED TO A WEAPON. AS LONG AS YOUR AMMO IS THE SAME GAUGE AS THE GUN IE.. 12 GUAGE USES 12 GUAGE AMMO ECT.. 3 INCHES IS THREE INCHES, BUT GIVIN MAGNUMS HIGHER PRESSURES I WOULD MAKE SURE THE GUN IS IN GOOD CONDITION. IF ITS A RELIC OR YOUR STILL CONCERNED I WOULD CONSULT YOUR LOCAL GUNSMITH..
