Nitro Mag® Buffered Magnum Shotshells are the original buffered magnum shotshells from Remington®. The shot charge is packed with a generous amount of shock-absorbing polymer buffering and surrounded by our patented Power Piston® wad to protect the specially hardened shot all the way down the barrel for dense, even patterns and uniform shot strings. An ideal load for bringing down tough turkeys. 25 rounds/box.

Bring 'em down I have used several turkey loads that i like but the price on these makes them my number one pick for spring turkeys. I have brought four turkeys in the last two years with them I am confident in the knock down power and accuracy. Also try the nitro turkey loads from remington, they work great. March 9, 2009
Hole Punchers I bought these for a wild pheasant hunts. They are great for shooting wild birds that flush sooner than a planted bird. The Nitro Mag does the job! Just wish they made them in shot sizes bigger than # 4. January 17, 2011
Remington Nitro Mag Shotshells Top My List Over the many years that I have been a squirrel hunter, I have used a variety of shotshell/choke combinations with some success. None of my previous combinations has topped my experience using Remington's Nitro Mag shells. I typically use the 2-3/4" #4 shot with an extra-full choke. Some may think that this is extreme, but it adds to the challenge of the hunt when you cannot use .22LR, allows you to really reach out and touch your game, and ensures that you humanely take your game due the the tight patterns. I strongly recommend these over any other shell that I have used. September 13, 2006
Browning auto pre 1940 My grandfather bought this gun brand new in Kansas City, Belgium made, 12 gauge 26 inch vent rib barrel modified choke, chambered for 2 3/4 inch. After a summer of hard work in his orchard he gave it to me. He always purchased the best and it is beautiful. I was the ONLY 16 year old with such a superlative shotgun. I'm 61 now and for my oldest son's 35th birthday I gave it to him. There is one and only one shotshell it has shot consistently in any weather and or conditions and still does to this day. Remington Nitro Magnum 2 3/4 inch #4 shot, I am an avid hunter as my grandfather was and back in those days the limits were much larger. This gun by me only has shot over 100 boxes of Nitro mags and I truly can count the times I jammed, 3 times, out of over 2,500 shots. January 1, 2015

We suggest sticking with 3 1/2 shells for geese. Nitro mag buffered mag shells aren't very suitable for the upland game. I would suggest using the Nitro Steel 12 Gauge 3" BB with 1450 velocity on geese.

Thanks

In regards to power this would be a good option for goose. However, most areas do ban lead shot for waterfowl. Please check your local regulations to verify this before using lead shot on waterfowl. Thank you.

It depends on the condition of your classics and the choke on your barrels. Ask a gunsmith.

if they are lead shot yes if they are bizmuth yes if they are malable like lead yes. If not dont trust grand pappys favorite double to hold to gether or not have a ring develope at the barrel just where the choke is. check witht he shell MFG if this loading is safe in Older nitro Proofed guns I am betting a buffered lead load will do just fine just dont shoot ducks and geese with them!
