I was debating in between Ruger M77/Tikka T3/Remington 700 SPS, all .308 WIN for quiet a while.. I asked many people, and read many reviews.. I was almost going for the Tikka T3 but hold it just a little more.. I even considered the Ruger M77 Scout Rifle which was very loaded I would like to say.. It was priced at $889.99 with both Iron Sights/Scope Iron Rings included/10-round detachable Box Magazine/Laminated Stock/Picatinny Rail/Flash Suppressor, but I DID NOT LIKE THE BOLT smoothness.. I personal believe that the Remington 700 SPS it is well built rifle in between all these out there.. No wander why the military use this gun for quiet a while.. I already put 50 rounds through my rifle, and I have been very impressed with the quality and recoil so far.. I let one of the BassPro qualified associate to instal my scope and they did a outstanding job.. Dead accurate after I zeroed-in.. I really wanted a Stainless Steel .308 WIN version, but they did not have it available, so I would have to order one.. It was just a $100 more, however I did not want to wait, and since it was the only one in the store, then I grab it immediately.. Not into hunting yet, just targets for now.. Maybe later for sure.. I think this rifle it is well proofed being very reliable and competitive, including the value..

This gun just keeps on impressing me. I bought this gun for deer and hog hunting. I scoped this with a Nikon Buckmaster BDC. Had this gun hitting dead center at 225 yards after 9 shots. This gun has a smooth bolt action and is extremely easy to reload while maintaining target in sight. I have been extremely pleased with the purchase of this great rifle.

i find the 150 grain ammo to be extremely efficient for targets within 250 yards. However for any longer shots i would recommend 160 grain.1 of 1
