out of the box would not feed any shells into the barrel. The bullets show a scrape that looks like it could only come from the extractor which causes the feed failure. Called Remington and they were nice. They are sending a new bolt assembly which I like. Wish they had done better quality control. Will update when new part comes in.

Got this gun for Father's Day. Took it out of the box, ran over 100 rounds of winchester 555's through...no jams or misfires. My 9 year old loves it! Easy to shoot and load. Got the 30 round mag for more fun, and it worked great too.

Rated 5 out of 5 by LTHobbies Great accurate reliable rifle.
This rifle is great. I had to install a few aftermarket items to make it more reliable but those were easy and cheap upgrades. Shoots subsonics like a champ after break in.
First of all. Don't over tighten the guide rods. They bend when they are too tight and cause the bolt not to be aligned and be pinched.
2 Changed the extractor, Although the one installed is fine. I had issues with subsonic rounds so I changed it. Now brass is thrown several yards.
3 Changed the hammer. This reduced the trigger weight by almost half.
New magazines have a circle 10 and those are the best.
All this was about $40 after shipping. Although after the upgrades, this rifle is still cheaper than the competition. The 10/22.
Out of this box, this standard rifle will out-shoot any 10/22 under $500. I love the ruger.. but the cheap plating on the receiver and the barrel, the short stock ment for little girls is not a good fitting rifle for me or any person over 5'2
