Managed-Recoil™ Centerfire Ammo delivers the proven hunting performance you have come to expect from Remington®, out to 200 yard ranges with half the recoil. How? Through a specialized new bullet that was developed specifically to perform at these cartridge velocity levels. These bullets are optimized to provide 2x expansion with over 75% weight retention on shots inside of 50 yards and out to 200 yards. The end result is a high performance bullet optimized to provide the results you've come to expect from Remington Ammunition with just half the felt recoil. Core-Lokt PSP bullets. 20 rounds per box.

Managed-Recoil Applications:

  • All Hunters: Most deer hunting shots are taken well within 200 yards, Managed-Recoil cartridges provide effective performance, with less than 1/2 the recoil. The result is less anticipation of recoil, better shot placement, and quicker scope recovery.
  • Recoil-Sensitive Hunters: For shooters that are unable to tolerate the recoil of a standard cartridge, Managed-Recoil Cartridges are the perfect solution. Effective performance with half the recoil.
  • Youth and Women: Managed-Recoil allows youth and women to practice and hunt effectively, with nearly the same point of aim as a standard cartridge at 100 yards.
  • Practice Makes Perfect: For hunters that target shoot to improve their performance, Managed-Recoil cartridges provide more time on the range, without the bruises to prove it. It offers great hunting performance at ranges out to 200 yards, and you can switch to full-power ammo without scope adjustment.

Less Recoil Better Accuracy I hunt whitetails with a Remington Model 700 7MM Magnum. I was skeptical purchasing the managed recoil cartrideges since I bought the 7MM Magnum for long range shooting however the Remington Managed Recoil cartridges performed excellent in the 2011 deer season. I shot 3 bucks and 1 doe and all deer dropped less than 30 yards from where they were shot using these cartridges. In fact the biggest Tennessee deer I have harvested in my life dropped in his tracks with one shot. My groups are tighter and my shoulder feels better when sighting in. Remington really came through with these cartridges. June 16, 2012
Exceeded My Expectations I bought these so my 10 year old son could use my Marlin 30-30 for his first deer hunt here in MO. They perform exactly as they say. The recoil reduction was incredible! In fact, he shot his first deer, an 8pt buck with them at 100 yrds. Knocked the deer down in its tracks. He would not have gone hunting if not for these reduced recoil shells. They greatly improved his confidence too. Thank you!!!! November 28, 2013
Takes the punch right out ! The perfect solution for youth hunting! I recently converted my regular .270 rifle to a youth stocked .270 version just hoping one day or a couple years my 8 yr old would be able to shoot it.After hearing about the managed recoil ammo i was very excited,so i picked up a box and much to my supprize Remington has really taken the punch out! My 8yr old went through the whole box during the site-in without one complaint of recoil!! Truely a great product !! October 8, 2006
My shoulder loves these rounds Because of the light weight of its synthetic stock my 30-06 rifle kicked like an angry mule. The addition of a good recoil pad helped quite a bit, but my aging shoulder was still taking a good deal of punishment at the range. So much so that I became uncomfortable shooting more than 4-5 rounds per session. Then, after reading about Remington's "Managed Recoil" loads I decided to pick up a box and give them a try. What a difference. While I don't have the equipment to verify Remington's claim of "half the felt recoil" my subjective impression is that if that's off at all, it isn't by much. Not only can I now easily go through an entire 20-round box in a single session with no shoulder pain, I've not been able to discern any noticable decline in accuracy performance compared with the previous loads I've used (including several different brands.) In fact, over time, I expect the reliability of my shot placement to increase due to my increased time shooting at the range, as well as the reduced tendency to flinch in anticipation of recoil. All-in-all the product delivers on its intended purpose. July 12, 2006
