Managed-Recoil Centerfire Ammo delivers the proven hunting performance you have come to expect from Remington, out to 200 yard ranges with half the recoil. How? Through a specialized new bullet that was developed specifically to perform at these cartridge velocity levels. These bullets are optimized to provide 2x expansion with over 75% weight retention on shots inside of 50 yards and out to 200 yards. The end result is a high performance bullet optimized to provide the results you've come to expect from Remington Ammunition with just half the felt recoil. Core-Lokt PSP bullets. 20 rounds per box. While the uses for Managed-Recoil centerfire ammunition are numerous, here are some of the more popular applications:

Managed-Recoil Applications:
  • All Hunters: Most deer hunting shots are taken well within 200 yards, Managed-Recoil cartridges provide effective performance, with less than 1/2 the recoil. The result is less anticipation of recoil, better shot placement, and quicker scope recovery.
  • Recoil-Sensitive Hunters: For shooters that are unable to tolerate the recoil of a standard cartridge, Managed-Recoil Cartridges are the perfect solution. Effective performance with half the recoil.
  • Youth and Women: Managed-Recoil allows youth and women to practice and hunt effectively, with nearly the same point of aim as a standard cartridge at 100 yards.
  • Practice Makes Perfect: For hunters that target shoot to improve their performance, Managed-Recoil cartridges provide more time on the range, without the bruises to prove it. It offers great hunting performance at ranges out to 200 yards, and you can switch to full-power ammo without scope adjustment.

Rated 5 out of 5 by Managed Recoil Ammuntion I saw this and purchased for my 17 year old daugheter who wanted to shoot my .270. The reduced recoil is amazing as I shot with std and then switched. The zero changed by 3 clicks. She killied a buck at 70 yards. My niece shot an 11 pt buck at 200 yds with a 30/06 and the guide told me the buck dropped on the spot. This allows young shooters to shoot standard rifles and not have to start on a smaller caliber which means you dont have to buy more guns for them to grow out of. I should be a salesman for this. I now have a friend shooting it in his 7 Mag. This ammo is great and lethal. January 25, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by Awesome Awesome Product I had developed a flinching problem. I had missed a couple of easy shots on hogs & deer. I started using the .270 Managed Recoil maybe 8 years ago. It allows me to calmly take my time and make a perfect shot without flinching. No it doesn't have the penetration of the regular load but with a bullet in the boiler room EVERY TIME, I don't need the extra power. I do wish it had just a little bit more power. I don't always get an exit hole, so there's not always a good blood trail to follow - only down side. However, none of the critters have gone further than 100 yds. With more power comes more kick though. Thank you Remington. Thank you. November 13, 2012
Rated 5 out of 5 by Best Bullets EVER I am shooting the remington 7 magnum and i LOVE IT!!!! the only thing i dont like is the kick..... these are perfect, no kick what so ever......... the accuracy is just the same (PERFECT) will definitly buy again....... but is very $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$ September 18, 2012
Rated 3 out of 5 by Good Product, Bad Price performed just as advertised, no complaints about the product whats so ever. I went to the range, sighted my 7MM Rem mag in, and shot 17 rounds of the managed recoil through it without any discomfort. The only discomfort came from the price. By the time you pay shipping, it is almost double the price of the standard load. August 21, 2012
