I gave these a 4 only because there is no such thing as "kleanbore" as they are named. All primers leave residue, but I will say I haven't had a problem yet removing my breach plug, whether it was one shot or 8-10 shots. They still leave residue, but I haven't had a missfire yet!

I switched from 777 primers to Kleanbore and, wow, what a difference. So far, I get about twice as many shots before the breech plug gets gunked up and I haven't had a misfire yet. (In a Remington Genesis, which is sensitive to primer fouling because the flip-open breech block gets really hard to open after fouling.)

Love these primer with the New white hot powder. Good consistent burn, All the powder burns, nothing left over. great product.

I shot a whole box of 777 pellets through my rifle using these and never had a miss-fire. The bolt/striker gets really dirty and was hard to clean after about 10 shots though. It did the job great, but I wouldn't call it clean.
