1700 fps from a steel load? Confidently sighting in on a goose at 60 yards? These are no longer a dream for waterfowl hunters with Remington®'s new HyperSonic Steel™ shotshells. These innovative loads are the fastest velocity, highest downrange pattern energies Remington has ever produced in a steel waterfowl loads. Its big speeds help reduce the lead you need to take on birds in the air, increasing your success rate and reducing the number of cripple shots flying away. The heart of this new shell is Remington's patented Xelerator wad. This innovative design features an "ignition chamber" filled with a small powder charge that moves the shell's entire payload forward slightly before the main charge ignites, providing increased volume behind the wad for the charge. This innovative wad is the key to delivering this kind of power without causing dangerous chamber pressures. The HyperSonic's shotcup starts out as one piece, keeping the shot together (to put more pellets in the head and neck) before "stress concentrators" on the sides cut the shotcup into petals, releasing the pellets. Don't ever watch pellets bounce off the chest of a long-range bird again, choose HyperSonic.

Remington® HyperSonic Steel™ Shotshells
Not a true 3'' shell
Using a Mossberg 500 with the 28'' barrel loaded up with the hypersonic steel shots 3'' BB shot.
Warning: This is not a true 3" shell, after the shot is fired and the shell has opened it will not eject properly jamming the shell in the breech. I compared the hypersonic 3'' with the 3'' sportsman hi speed steel shot (photo).
I have compared it to other 3'' shells by Remington, I am not saying this will happen with all fire arms just a heads up. Do your homework before you spend your cash on this expensive ammunition.

I used these for the first time in January 2012. they kill ducks!! My only regret is that I didn't try them sooner. I shot 3 1/2" # 2's in an 11-87. they folded ducks like lead did back in the day. We had more kills per shot than any steel i've used. Recoil is the only disadvantage but worth it. They do kick like a mule, so hold on!

Best steel shot out there
I started using these shells when they first came out and i have nothing but good to say about them. I goose hunt alot and I have a mossberge 935 with primos exstended chokes. 80% of my shots are pass shots. I have no problem bring them down. They hold up great in the weather found with waterfowling. I have had shels floating in the bottom of my boat that I have used and went off with out a hitch. The lead you need to use is barely anything. I havent noticed it kicking any more than any other steel shot. I use mainly 3 inch BBs. And the bird just drop. and the cost isnt much above any other steel shot. So its a great tool for leveling the playing feild with out having to buying heavy metal or other expensive shells. Overal great product in many ways.

Excellent shot shell
The Hypersonic shells performed as advertised.
I had great knock down shots out to 50 yards. They pack a real punch. The only drawback is a sore shoulder......but it's worth it!
