Everything worked great. We took the puppy to the water for the first time today. The lead knotted up on us a few times but other that that it was perfect. The dummy is small which is great for a puppy starting out. It would be nice if it had a piece of rope attached to it already though. The duck scent just does something to a dog. It's like pouring gasoline on a smoldering fire. We did not use the whistle because I already have a good one. I did blow it and found it took more air to get sound from it than the one I already had. The booklet is very informative but I think the kit would have more value to a hunter/trainer if it were replaced by video teaching the methods in the booklet.

this kit contains a very good assorment of bassics that you need to train a puppy. the lead tangles easy but its very light and doesnt hinder the puppies ability. For the price this is the best i have seen.

The lead is light and easily pulled by the puppy with out it getting in the way yet strong enough to control the puppy. Although the whistle takes a lot of air it does produce a loud and sharp whistle. The scent absorbs quickly into the canvas throw. After I attached a rope to the end of the canvas throw I was able to throw for 60 yards and more. The booklet gives very informative advice and helpful diagrams on how to train your puppy. Overall a great group of products for the beginner, both owner and puppy.

The dummy's work well when scented (for blind retrieves). Neat tip: If you really want to make sure your hunting companion is ready, use the orange bumpers with scent in tall grasses, dogs do not see orange and it forces them to use the nose.1 of 1
