Shoot a box of Remington® Core-Lokt® Centerfire Rifle Ammo to see why it has remained the leader in hunting ammunition for more than six decades. Core-Lokt ammo uses one of the most effective hunting bullets ever developed - the original controlled-expansion bullet design. A progressively tapered copper jacket is locked to a solid lead core to promote a perfectly controlled expansion and high weight retention after impact. Remington Core-Lokt Centerfire Rifle Ammo uses only premiun brass cases, primers, and powders that you can rely on in any hunting environment.

  • Proven big game hunting ammunition
  • The original controlled-expansion bullet design
  • Progressively tapered copper jacket
  • Jacket locked to a solid lead core
  • Controlled expansion and high weight retention
  • Premiun brass cases, primers, and powders

REM-LOK 30-06 I was very surprised to see BassPro had these in stock and quickly made the purchase. Did everything over the phone. My box arrived in record time. all 5 boxes purchased were in great shape and same lot stamp. I have used only one box and scope is dialed in for this season. I now have 4 boxes to last for several years. Scope mounting hardware was an issue. after new installed on 4 shots and everything was dead on. I have always purchased Remington for all my guns and will continue to do so. Clean shooting, accurate and nock down deadly on whitetails! August 6, 2013
not comparable to 180gr. corelkt After 3-shots at a little over 50yds. out of dad's old '59 30-06 REM sprgfld. hit. with-in 11/2 in of bulls-eye with 180gr, standard(wicked) loads. 3 shots fired with 125gr. recoil-managed loads were all 6-10in. high and off wind-age 3-4in. right. Pity, because it took alot of talking for him (83 yrs. young) to try them. I believe that the twist torque out of the old barrel does play a factor even if bullet speed is the same or comparable. Too bad because his shoulder is always blue although he still enjoys it. Hah April 6, 2013
Good bullet I shoot these in my .270 and have killed 3 moose using the 150 grain bullets and more deer than I can remember with the 130 grain bullets. On two of the moose I broke both shoulders. I consider the 130 grain bullets to be nearly perfect deer bullets, At .270 win velocities they open quickly for quick kills but hold together well enough to get good penetration when its needed. I would give them 5 stars but they only make round nose 150 grain bullets for the .270. I cant quite wrap my head around their logic there?? December 29, 2013
Always Dependable... I have been using Remington Core-Lokt'd ammunition for well over 30 years...season after season....on all kinds of medium to big game...from Western Black Tail, Mule Deer, Antelope, Elk, Bear & Boar to Northern & Midwestern Whitetail...in calibers from .243 through the 30 caliber magnums.......from extreme cold to extreme heat and NEVER had a failure to function as designed of any kind. If YOU do your part....they will always do what they are designed to do...! No NEED for anything else! July 22, 2013

A:
i am not an ammunition expert by any means, but the 22 hornet being an exceptional varmint caliber is not a common caliber that a lot of people use making the manufacture of a small supply of these cartridges a lot more expensive to make and distribute thus driving up the retail cost.

A:
The 22 hornet cartidge has been around for a long timeand people tend to want the latest and greatest round available, which is now the .17 HMR. Which is making the 22 hornet a "rare" cartridge. And with most things...rare=expensive. just my theory

A:
More than likely it is because most manufacturers box them in 50 round quantities(compared to most everything else being 20 round). But it is also a "odd" round and they are usually a little more expensive in general.

22 hornet is expensive when compared to 22LR but not if you compare if to other center fire cartridges. look at the performance between the cartridges and you'll get a good idea that the 22s are not i the same category of performance.
