Remington® Blackpowder Primers
Compared to other commonly used primers, the Remington® Percussion Caps/#209 Primers create reductions of up to 40 percent in the high-to-low spread velocities in reloads for more consistency. #209 Primers drastically reduces chamber buildup for easier bullet seating, more accurate shots, and more shots between cleanings. Percussion caps are ribbed. Great for practice or competitions. 100 per pack.

I have been shooting these primers for a while now. I haven't had a single problem with them yet. No misfires or anything like that. Its very nice to not have to worry about the primer not going off when hunting.

This product is the dirtiest burning primer I have found. I can not get more than two shots out of my muzzleloader before needed a complete cleaning using these primers.

Can this be used on pyrodex pelletsAnswers
A:Â
Yes it can. That is the exact combination that I use and it works very well.Top 100 Contributor
A:Â
Any spark will light the pyrodex pellets so the answer to you question is yes. Keep in mind 209 primers are normally used with pellets and the percussion caps are normally used with loose powder but any spark will make them work.A:Â
Yes they can.Q:Â

what is the difference between Kleanbore Muzzleloading Primers and the #209 Premier STS Primers?
Answers
A:Â
Kleanbore is specially formulated #209 primer that dramatically reduces chamber buildup for easier bullet seating. A cleaner bore gives you greater accuracy and more shots between cleanings. Kleanbore gives you up to 20 shots between swabs. For use with black powder substitutesAnswers

A:Â
the 209 primers are specifically designed for an in-line rifle ingnition system and probably would not work with your 1851 revolver.Check with the manufacture or a gun smith if you have doubts.
A:Â
An 1851 Navy revolver should use a #11 cap instead of a 209 primer1 of 1
