Remington® 887 Nitro Mag 12 Gauge Shotgun
I bought this gun 2 almost 3 years ago for waterfowl; ive shot 2 3/4 shells through 3 1/2 shells and it handles them all really great. I have never had any sort of problem with this gun. its been beat and abused on the duck boat being that it hasnt traveled in a case but once and that dont phase it. It has been splashed in salt water and droped in the mud in ponds and it shoots with no heasatation what so ever. Great gun, i went from a semi auto gun to this pump and i shot alot better. I recomend this gun for any waterfowler or anyone looking for a solid and reliable gun.

Bought this gun last year for duck season, did really good in the snow, rain, sleet, everything. Dropped in a marsh and it still shot fine. didnt rust. All this, "its a cheap gun" i dont think is justified, a lot of people see me at the skeet range with it and say its a piece of garbage until they see it fire. then they try it and love it. like any gun make sure to clean it properly and lubricate it. if you dont it wont work, plain and simple gun maintenance, thats true with any gun. It does shoot a little under the bead, but some kentucky windage works to fix it. Overall, this is a very durable gun. Cant go wrong with it or the 870.

not worth it!
in my opinion this gun looked good in the box but at the range it felt cheap! the plastic would rattle and feel unsecure. i was not sure if this gun would last the day, i thought it would break. sure enought the stock cracked 25 shots in! do not recommend!!

Love my 887
I've heard so many bad reviews on this gun. And I cannot see why. I've owned shotguns all my life, and I'm 56 years old. Have a 1100, 870 and a Mossberg. I absolutely LOVE this gun. I have well over 5000 rounds through my gun. And not One issue with it. That says something in itself. I've seen a Youtube video where a guy called it a Click Stick. Claiming that when you pull back on the fore stock it clicks (soft strike#. I don't know who taught that boy how to shoot. But why are you pulling back on the fore stock?
In the 3 years that I've owned my 887, it has jammed once. And that was due to using JUNK shells #Rio). Our Club gunsmith took it apart and gave me the shell. The brass casing was not machined properly. That's the Only issue I had with this gun. A lot of guys in my club said they heard bad things about it when I bought it 3 years ago. They have ALL shot it, and love it. And a few went out and bought their own, and love it. 2 Thumbs up for the 887.
