Rated 4 out of 5 by Worth it Bought this gun last year for duck season, did really good in the snow, rain, sleet, everything. Dropped in a marsh and it still shot fine. didnt rust. All this, "its a cheap gun" i dont think is justified, a lot of people see me at the skeet range with it and say its a piece of garbage until they see it fire. then they try it and love it. like any gun make sure to clean it properly and lubricate it. if you dont it wont work, plain and simple gun maintenance, thats true with any gun. It does shoot a little under the bead, but some kentucky windage works to fix it. Overall, this is a very durable gun. Cant go wrong with it or the 870. July 21, 2014
Rated 3 out of 5 by not worth it! in my opinion this gun looked good in the box but at the range it felt cheap! the plastic would rattle and feel unsecure. i was not sure if this gun would last the day, i thought it would break. sure enought the stock cracked 25 shots in! do not recommend!! Rated 5 out of 5 by Love my 887 I've heard so many bad reviews on this gun. And I cannot see why. I've owned shotguns all my life, and I'm 56 years old. Have a 1100, 870 and a Mossberg. I absolutely LOVE this gun. I have well over 5000 rounds through my gun. And not One issue with it. That says something in itself. I've seen a Youtube video where a guy called it a Click Stick. Claiming that when you pull back on the fore stock it clicks (soft strike#. I don't know who taught that boy how to shoot. But why are you pulling back on the fore stock? In the 3 years that I've owned my 887, it has jammed once. And that was due to using JUNK shells #Rio). Our Club gunsmith took it apart and gave me the shell. The brass casing was not machined properly. That's the Only issue I had with this gun. A lot of guys in my club said they heard bad things about it when I bought it 3 years ago. They have ALL shot it, and love it. And a few went out and bought their own, and love it. 2 Thumbs up for the 887. February 18, 2014
Rated 1 out of 5 by Worst Purchase Ever I purchased in October 2013, as soon as I took out of the box I started having a problems with the action. I returned to Bass Pro Shop and they said one of the action bars was bent because it is made of plastic. Returning to Remington for repairs or replacement (hopefully). I was so disappointed. I am going to replace it for a Remington 870. January 27, 2014

Yes Remington makes a rifled barrel. Or you can shoot Rifled slugs with the standard smooth bore barrel.

I have the SA-08. It is only chambered for 2 1/2 and 3 inch. It won't take 31/2. The 870 and 887 will:)

Simply stated if they make it in the gauge the Gun is purchased in then you can shoot it! That is the beauty of a pump opposed to an auto. This is a great gun especially for waterfowl!

Yes this gun will chamber 2 3/4, 3, and 3 1/2" shells. you cant go wrong with this gun and if you hunt cold weather it has no exposed metal on the outside so it doesnt freeze your hands off. Happy hunting from the Rakin Drakes Staff out of Ponca City OK
