Amazing gun Got this gun about a month ago went out shooting today. Cleaned it the day after i bought it and ran 3 boxes through it no issues. Amazing gun for the money. August 3, 2014
Jam problems No problems firing slugs but jams constantly when firing pellets. May be the ammunition. Kick isn't too bad so very accurate otherwise July 19, 2014
great first gun I got this gun as a gift and it has been great! I use it for dove hunting and trap shooting it has jammed a few times but it was the person using its fault and not the gun. Very easy to maintain. March 4, 2014
Remington 870 Express. I bought this shotgun for both target shooting and hunting. Action is nice and smooth, and has no problem cycling whatever shells I shoot through it. Accessory barrels are readily available if your shooting needs change, and accepts Rem-Choke choke tubes. Very dependable shotgun, I would highly recommend it to anybody looking for a dependable shotgun. August 19, 2013

A:
Per the manufacturer, when using a smooth bore barrel, rifled slugs are recommended with an improved cylinder choke tube. If you are using a rifled barrel, we recommend using the sabot slugs for best performance. The rule is that you only need rifling on one or the other, the barrel or the bullet. (The exception is that you can use sabot slugs in a smooth bore barrel with a rifled choke tube.)
