This gun is great! i used this from hunting to competitive trap shooting and let me tell you it never jammed and is in perfect condition after I've pumped 2500+ rounds through it. This gun, for me, worked better the the Browning Citori Classic Trap gun which run from $2,500-$3,500! For $369 this is the best gun out there! I would pick this gun over a professional grade trap gun! The pattern is great and it cycles really well, I've only had one problem. The inner chamber got wet one morning and when i was cambering the second shot it jammed and i had to disassemble the gun to unjam it, but other then that this gun is the best out there!

This was my first gun and it is very good. I only miss a few and it doesn't have much kick at all. Less than most 20 gauges!!! Its pretty nice cuz if i want i can shoot 3.5 inch shells if i ever want to.

I bought this gun a few years back because I wanted to be able to shoot 3 1/2 inch shells for geese and my 870 express couldn't. It's essentially the same gun, as is the quality. It's a great all purpose shotgun. In fact I liked it so much that I bought one for my wife also. The only downside is the choke that comes standard with the gun. I am not a fan of a modified choke (I perfer full chokes), but that is easily fixed. This is a gun that will last for a long time.

Remington has always made good quality shotguns, and this one is again of excellent quality. I easily kill small game 30+ yards away. With the rifled barrel, i take down large deer from 50-60 yards away easy. Plus ammuntition is generally pretty cheap too. A good, quality shotgun.

If it is your first waterfowl gun, go with this (the Remington). I cannot say enough about the 870. I like the Mossberg as well, but you cannot go wrong with a Remington and it will be a great starting point to learn about shotguns.A:Â
I did a lot of reading before I decided. I think you will be extremely happy with the RemingtonA:Â
Is a Chevy or Ford better? Same question. Some people swear by Remington, I happen to be a Mossberg fan. Each is going to last basically forever. My favorite thing about Mossy's are the controls with the slide release behind the trigger guard instead of reaching in front and the safety being ambidextrous on top instead of a cross bar safety on the Remington.
You just have to handle them both and see which one talks to you.

I have used 2-3/4 in mine for trap shooting.A:Â
The guy before me was right but he also forgot to say that you can put 3 1/2 inch shells as well as 2 3/4 and 3 inch shells.A:Â
Yes. That's the standard length 12 gauge shell. This model chambers both 2 3/4 or 3" shells. Bass Pro also carries a great variety of hunting and home defense loads in both lengths.Q:Â
