The Remington 870 Express Compact 20 Gauge Shotgun is an optimal choice for turkey, waterfowl and all-around upland pursuits.  This pump action features the concealment of non-glare matte-finished metalwork, a rugged synthetic stock and fore-end, and a R3 recoil pad. You get all this, plus the reliable function and swift, natural pointing characteristics that have made the Model 870 a legend in the fields, woods and flyways nationwide. For the utmost in strength and longevity, its receiver is machined from a solid billet of steel. Rigid twin action bars promote smooth, ultra-positive chambering and ejection. Comes with a 3" chamber, 4 + 1 capacity and a 21'' vent rib, bead-sighted barrel.

Great Question, I presume that Remington has kept with their use of using the Remchoke system with this particular model. You may want to phone your local Proshop store to have them verify the choke. Good times and Great Hunting

The shotgun is a great choice when long distance shooting isn't needed. 00 buckshot is a great choice when used at distances less than75 yards. If a slug is going to be used you may want to consider purchasing a slug barrel. Good Times and Great Hunting
