I was given this gun as a gift a while back and have been very happy with it. I had been using an old full choked Browning A5 for upland game (won't shoot steel) and a Mossberg 500 for waterfowl. This gun is great for both. Since using this gun, I have never had trouble with jamming, which was common with the Mossberg. It is also very well balanced and easy to pull up. I would have given it 5 stars, but it is a little heavy compared to a lot of other shotguns. If you are looking for a solid all around gun, this one is great.

Bought this gun about 3 years ago. Took it out and gun started jamming. I sent the barrel off to get it re-honed possible burs from manufacturing I was told. Got it back same problem and then sent the whole gun in to a local gun smith. Ended up being the bolt and the barrel having problems just my luck was then out of warranty. Went out bought a Nova and use this a my turkey gun.

I have a friend that does it and it hasn't hurt his gun any. You will need to buy a special choke to shoot slugs though.A:Â
Yes. But before you go hunting take the gun to a shooting range to see where the slug is hitting the target. Start out @ 25yds and move back 10yds every couple of shots to find your comfort zone. A 28" barrel will be more accurate than a 26" @ longer distances. You just have to find your comfort zone with the 26" also use the same slugs @ the range that you will be hunting with.1 of 1
