A Bass Pro Exclusive!
The Remington Whitetail Pro Model 770 Rifle/Scope Youth Combo is the perfect instant gratification choice for any smaller framed hunter itching to load his new gun and start shooting. Fast forward through the sometimes exhausting process of selecting, mounting, and sighting a scope and components, Whitetail Pro rifles comes with a pre-mounted and boresighted 3-9x40mm riflescope. Built to Remington's rigorous standards for accuracy and reliability, the Whitetail Pro continues the legacy of Remington's popular 700 and 710 models with modern advancements for even more accuracy and reliability. The ergonomically contoured Realtree AP HD synthetic stock features a raised cheekpiece for rapid scope to eye alignment and grip texture in all the right places. With its 22'' six-groove button-rifled barrel, solid steel receiver, and crisp, single-stage trigger, this rifle is ready to punch tight groups in any target. The Whitetail Pro delivers superior action strength by combining a ''three rings of steel'' design with three locking lugs that secure the ultra-smooth bolt directly into the barrel. The short, 60' bolt throw with an easier-to-cam design delivers faster follow-up shots. Finally, the detachable, dual-stack steel box magazine features a more durable latch for longer life.

I was looking for a starter rifle that would be reasonably accurate and easy to use. Not like Marine Scout Sniper accurate, just a solid performer with no surprises. I did a lot of research online prior to making my final purchse decision. Remington has an excellent reputation for quality and standing behind their work. My scope was a bit off out of the box, about 4 feet right and 3 feet low. It was easily corrected after doing the math, and it was on the paper within just a few shots, and in the 10 ring within a single box of ammunition. I added a bipod to add a level of stability to the platform. The rifle in my experience seems to perform it's best with Remington or Hornady brand ammunition at 100 yards, every shot in the black. The rifle package seems to get a lot of approving nods and comments from other shooters at the range, which or course is nice. The rifle looks good, performs well, and feels solid for the shooter who may not want to spend close to a thousand dollars on a high dollar rifle.

This is my second Remington 770 that I have owned , I feel for the money you give you get a good gun the bolt on the new one is a little stiff but its still smooth and my older one that has allot of shots on it the bolt is very smooth and not as stiff as the new one, when I say stiff I mean locking and unlocking the bolt down the action is smooth. I would suggest you get bass pro to re bore sight the scope I have my own bore sight and straight out the box the factory settings against my bore sight was 6" left 4" down, after adjusting to 0 with my bore sight was with in 2 inches of bulls-eye using Winchester ammo.

Bought this rifle for my wife as her first deer rifle, is a nice starter package deer without investing a fortune in a gun and scope to find out that they aren’t interested in hunting, for the money it’s a great buy but she has since upgraded
