Remington® 11-87 Sportsman Black Shotgun
Ive had the 1187 for three years now and I love it. Takes a little while to break in but after a few hundred shells it cycles flawlessly. Great gun for the $. I know one day when I'm dead and gone my son will be dropping ducks with it. Buy it, you won't be disappointed.

Awesome auto loader
I just purchased the Remington 11-87 26" barrel version and it is a smooth shooting shotgun. I have always been a pump shotgun person until I borrowed my friends semi automatic shotgun. I plan on this being my goto shotgun for all upland game bird, turkey, waterfowl, dove and pheasant hunting.

Not even a good single shot! Jams up when loading and very heavy. You would stand a better chance of getting the birds if you used this frustrating piece of junk for a club. Remington pump I tried worked way better and got the birds. Buy something else with your hard earned money instead of the 11-87. I gave it one star cause you could always throw it.

Very poor quality
I bought this gun because I have always trusted Remington and the gun was on sale. I got a great price but I guess you get what you pay for, sometimes...
About one out of five shots jam. Called Remington, they said use only Remington ammo. With Remington ammo I get about six shots before it jams.
Sent it back to the factory, they said it works as designed.
I am an experienced shooter and have cleaned and oiled the gun many times, same results.
The inner workings of the gun look like they were made from crushed up beers cans and a rusty hammer, very poor design and workmanship.
Most of my buddies shoot Beretta, I wish I had spent the extra money and bought a better quality gun. I would not recommend this gun and I will probably never buy another Remington.
