Reef Runner® Hardbaits
The ultimate trolling lures for walleye, as demonstrated on the trophy waters of Lake Erie. Proven ''banana'' body profile; aggressive wobble; incredibly durable high-gloss finish with unique colors; fitted with ultra-wide gap Eagle Claw® Kahle® hooks.

Reef Runner's Deep Diver produces an aggressive ''kicking'' action which receives loads of attention down deep. The Deep Diver's wide lip digs hard, while its deeply curved body and loud rattle create an irresistible underwater profile that even finicky gamefish can't resist. Body length: 4-3/4''; overall length: 6-3/16''. Hook size: 4. Maximum diving depth: 28'. Weight: 5/8 oz. Made in USA.

Rated 4.4 out of 5 by 17 reviewers.
Rated 5 out of 5 by Reef runner 800 & 200 For three years Reef Runner Lures have sponsored a local fishing tournament in Pueblo that I happened to chair for 2 years and these lures work. If you want to catch fish on Pueblo Reservoir don't look any farther that Reef Runner Lures Naked Bare is the hot Wiper plug right now. Don't miss the rest of the story and the next link that shows the Reef Runner crank bait 200 series that caught 19 Walleye and 2 bass mid-day today. The #97 Flame is the hot color right now. Rated 5 out of 5 by Money What can I say? These are my go to baits for Walleye in 15 to 30 ft. They have a hard, tight wobble, come in many colors, and they get down there. I have over 75 of these babies. In Canada/ Northern States, once the water warms up a bit in early summer, these are great until the temps drop in late fall. They catch the odd 20lb Northern as well! Rated 4 out of 5 by Great for trolling This lure is a walleye killer! with every color imaginable at your fingertips, you have tons of options if the fish are being picky. It trolls extremely well and has great action even at super slow speeds. Like all the other Reef Runner models however, the hooks should be changed when you get it. don't get me wrong, they're very sharp and they work, but once you start into a bigger fish, they get REALLY bent out of shape, and its not worth losing a big catch over. Rated 4 out of 5 Great for Walleye This lure would be a great addition to any walleye fishermans tackle box. Easily a 5 star rating if they would only come out of the box tuned and running straight. December 20, 2012

A:
I have used line 17 lb and up, but the Walleye and Wipers won't hit the plug, so I use thin invisible line less that 12 lb test, set my drag appropriately and make sure I have dip net. With lighter line the plug will also dive deeper on the underwater points and have better placement to get to the Walleye. This plug in the #200 & #800 has proven it's salt with Walleyes, Wipers, Large and Small mouth. I have been able to get the 800 plug as deep as 24 feet. The #200 to about 12-15 feet. I troll slow for Walleye and fast for Wipers. Faster the speed and lighter the line the deeper the lure runs.

This lure will run well on mono, flouro or braid. It will run between 20 and 30 feet deep depending on how much line you have out.

I use P Line cx premium and fluro clear in 15# test. It runs between 25' and 27' trolling with around 200 yds out at 3 mph.

Use mono for best results IMO

Can get to depths of 30+ feet by adding snap weights in front of the or jet divers

I used 12lb flurocarbon. Depending on the model and speed of trolling/retrieve, some will go over 20 feet deep(!). Check the manufacturer's web site for their depth chart. I use these for Walleye and Stripers. Getting a bait down 20 feet is a good thing for Stripers.

We use this lure a lot when we troll for Walleyes. One of our favorite spots is a sand bottom that undulates 25, 26 , 27 feet and this lure punches that bottom consistently. I use 20 lb fireline and have 100+ feet out on a 1.5 - 2 mph backtroll. I do not use a line counter reel so the line distance is not exact. You may need to tune these lures out-of-the-box but you cannot go wrong once they are set. We use a clear body with the prism insert. I think the basspro colors are 3, 57 or 74. The walleye in the attached pic is 29 1/2 inches long and 10+ lb
