This outfit was purchased to replace my old Reddington Redfly outfit that after almost 20 years of hard use was just worn out. Although the Redfly model is still made as I’m now retired it is just more than the old budget will allow.
The Crosswater is actually a better looking rod than the old Redfly nice finish, wood reel seat, and feels much lighter. The feel and castability is much like the old rod.. Reddington does still include a very nice reel on hard case with their outfits.Overall I could not be happier with this purchase. It would be hard to imagine a better outfit for $100.
