Rated 5 out of 5 by Bigchuck77 Best Value Having never used a dehydrator prior to owning this one, I can only base my review on my expectations and the complaints of others. I think this one is hands down better than any of the circular dehydrators. It seems to dehydrate more than the circular models. The instructions say not to use more than 20 trays. I'm not sure where to buy more trays but that statement gives me the impression it is greatly expandable. Trays are dishwasher safe without a heated dry cycle. I've tested this and everything came out okay. Temp setting from 122 to 158. Timer from 0 to 48 hours. Alarm goes off for about three seconds and then shuts down. I've done some ground venison jerky, whole muscle beef jerky and a few bunches of bananas. All have turned out great. I would buy this product again in a heart beat. December 18, 2012
