by Scoutersmom Why Bother having a digital display?
I was elated when I received this dehydrator as a gift for Christmas. I'm just getting around to using it for the first time and cannot begin to tell you how disappointed I am in the digital display. I've got it set at 145 degrees and only 4 hours into the dehydrating process and the digital display looks as if it's overheated. I can't read how much time is left. I'm hoping it's still set at the right temp and will turn off when I set it to. Wishing I could find the manufacturer (lost the owner's manual) so I could contact them and ask if this is a known problem or if I need to return and get a replacement

Absolutely terrific! Works like a charm, for drying my herbs from the garden. Hope to try it out soon - for making beef jerky.

The temp. control didn't adjust temp. It didn't dry jerkey even. It may work for fruit but not meat.

I purchased this dehydrator this Christmas I wanted it for beef jerky and making fruit roll ups i was un able to get the one I wanted so I settled for this one. My thoughts on this one are neutral. I am unable to find accessories, sheets or racks for it . The cooking times seem to be a little longer then most other dehydrators. If basspro starts selling the extras or telling where to buy them, at that point I would recommend this dehydrator if not then I would suggest getting a different because you'll out grow it fast
