SHE Outdoor 15'' Bayou Zip BONE-DRY Non-Insulated Camo Snake Boots for Ladies
Thwart the Snakes!
Just got my boots and immediately went for a walk in the swamp. Comfortable! and waterproof! I finally had no fear walking in areas I would not have before. I go on artifact digs and needed to feel confidant that if bitten by a rattler, I would be OK...and so I did. Point of Note: I broke my leg and ankle 2 years ago and when I first put the boot on I wanted to cry and thought I would have to send them back. My foot, which does not bend normally, was stuck in the area where the foot enters the turn toward foot/ boot entrance. I allowed the foot to sit in the boot for a few minutes, the ankle relaxed and voila! I was able to put the boot on!

I bought these boots primarily because I'm terrified of snakes and was planning two separate hiking trips through rattlesnake country. They fit right out of the box and were incredibly comfortable. There was no break-in time necessary, which was good because I put them on for the first time on our trip. Not a very smart idea, but I trusted the other reviews. After a three mile hike over dangerously sharp lava beds in El Malpais National Park (also known as the bad lands), they were just as comfortable and even saved me from a possible broken or sprained ankle after I caught my foot in a crack and fell. I'm standing on one of the lava beds in the attached picture. I did buy them a full size larger, also based on the other reviews, and I was glad I did because the fit was slightly loose but very comfortable. Be careful if you're overweight, though, because the calf part of the boot might be kind of tight. I weigh 150 and there was not much room for error when zipping them up.

I wear these to hike through a swamp area to get to my tree stand. They are very comfortable and keep my feet BONE DRY! I have non-insulated and my feet (which stay cold all the time) stay warm in these. I have no worry of snake or thorn bushes. I purchased a size 7 which is what I normally wear, and they fit perfect even with thicker socks. I agree they are a little difficult to get on at first, but that gets better after the first wear. I am 5'4" and 125lbs and they fit my calf well with pants tucked in. I highly recommend these boots!

Snake Proof boots for women !! These Are GREAT.
I am 5'4 and 118lbs. I usually wear a 6 1\2 to 7 in tennis shoes depending on the shoe brand. I have Georgia boots in boys 5 1\2 that fit good but aren't snake proof. And living in eastern Kentucky rattlers and copperheads are dangerous, these are a must. It is hard to find a ladies boot that isn't a cowboy style and snake proof. Kids sizes suck most of the time, they just don't fit right. But I went out on a limb and bought these in a size 6.5 or 6&1\2. And they fit great and wear even better than I could've hoped for. They ARE TIGHT when first receive them but I pushed foot in and out about 3 times and bend the boot at ankle to the boot toe a few times and they loosened up at ankle opening. But my feet have plenty of room, no sliding feet inside and great traction in mud or rock, unless its wet outside then step lite on rocks...but these boots are great, I have had for 3 weeks now and used them every other day in the mountains. They don't leak when its raining but i haven't been in deep water. I just wanted to give a little more detail to others than I had when trying to decide on these boots and the size, since I am kinda in between sizes I hope this helps with you choosing these boots and they have a 1 year return policy on all boots so no loss, but i truly am happy with these boots and think you will be too. These boots rock. I have not had the displeasure of seeing if the snake proof part is great and hope not to. But its a great back up in a boot to have. Thanks
