RedHead 10 Gun Safe
Poor Design - Poor Customer Service
Nice quality Safe, but will NOT accept 30" Shotguns
Called Winchester Factory in Texas and they couldn't
care less in assisting me in how to remove the shelf.
With shelf in place, unit is nothing more than locking file storage.
The lining is carpet covered sheet rock, and I discovered top panels above shelf not installed properly, and I removed one side, and took out shelf and threw it out. Put back panel, now will hold shotguns.
I would have taken unit back to store if it wasn't so much work. Lousy service from Texas supposed to be proud American!~
Knowing what I know, would purchase from another source.

10 Gun Safe
Like all safes, the gun capacity is inflated but this works great for what I need it for. Got last weekend when they were running these 20% off, so for just over $300 this was the best deal going. Have 2000+ rounds of ammo (in 2 cans and on shelf) and 2 long guns inside, plus assorted mags and other stuff. Have plenty of room for a few more long guns once the wife says it's ok. I love that it is made in the US. The lock is great and easy to use, works every time. My wife and I moved inside w/o any dolly and looks great in our basement room. I would recommend for anyone that needs to store a few long guns with some ammo to keep away from kids and safe in a fire. For the price, this quality can't be touched. Buy one.

Only reason I did not give it 5 stars is because I don't give anything 5 stars.
Just started getting into shooting a few years ago. Have two pistols and an AR-15 and a Ruger 10/22 rifle. Got a decent investment into these guns. Got nervous a few weeks ago when we went on vacation and noboy was in the hurse for several days. Came home and started looking online for safes. I chose this safe because:
1. Seemed good quality
2. More expensive than the stack-on of the same size
3. Did not break the bank
4. Did not need something really large
5. Fits through small closet door
It fits the rifles just fine with plenty of room to spare. The two pistols are sitting on the tops shelf with no problem but I could never fit a third.
I like the weight. My son and I thought we could move this into the house ourselves with now problem and just by hand. It took a dolly. That's good. Two guys are going to have a heck of a time walking off with this thing.
My son has a great idea he read on the Net. Build a shelf out of 1x4s and set on the bottom of the safe. There will still be plenty of clearance for the tops of the rifles to the top shelf and under the built bottom shelf, there will be more room for "stuff".
Another good idea I got from the sales guy at Basspro was to drill holes and insert wooden dowels on the inside of the safe door. hang more pistols in mesh bags from these.
I can see this safe will last me a long time. Not sure what will happen if I get a really long gun, but it seems like it will fit near the front of the safe.
After two weeks, totally satisfied.

Best purchase for the money
I just purchased this safe and I'm very, very satisfied. I didn't want the electronic entry as I've had safes where they just shorted overtime by the wires cracking where it connects to the battery. I wanted a simple dial lock. Although it doesn't have the shelf set up I was looking for... it can be easily be built to meet my needs which I'm doing this weekend. It's fire proof, well built, Made in America (which is very important to me) and has a 5 year warranty. I would definitely recommend this to anyone.
