Rated 5 out of 5Â by ClermontCountyOhioHunter Great for the money!!
It has one of the clearest views of any I tested, it is simple to use, and seems very accurate. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a light weight easy to use range finder at a low cost. Not a lot of bells and whistles which less opportunity to make a mistake at a critical moment in a hunt.

Very clear lense, still works great in low light. By far the smallest one I have seen. Very light weight, I think you get a awesome rangefinder for the price. I would recommend this range finder to everyone. The fact that you can hold the button down and get continious readings is great for a deer on the move. I hunt bow only and im very happy with my purchase.

This item is great for someone needing a range finder of 550 yds. I compaired it to the distance range listed on my camera lens and found it to be accurate, for me it help me determine distance in shooting landscapes and etc. I only hunt with a camera. Its great

Does this compensate for bow accuracy?Answers
A:Â
no its not $500 its $80and even the good ones aren't perfect due to the differnet arrows, weights, bow speeds and angles. practice from the treestand so you know your arrow drop - or use a gun

I hunt a lot from pop up or tent blinds with the shoot through mesh. I know some rangefinders will not range effectively through this type of material, does anyone know if the Redfield will "shoot" through mesh??Answers

no, if its too dark to read its too dark to shoot.A:Â
Yes it is hard to see you have to strain your eyes alittle to see itA:Â
The read out has a large number display. Tried this unit out in low light (dusk) and was able to see the numbers. I also tried it on a full moon night and as long as you have a light colored back ground to contrast with the black number display ( I used a white door) it can be read even at night with a full moon.A:Â
i found the readout to be hard to read in any lightA:Â

This rangefinder does not have the arc or angle intelligence technology. It only displays the horizontal distance.A:Â
It isn't meant to do angles but I hunt from a tree stand and I Practiced from my tree stand using this rangefinder and it is pretty accurateA:Â

I find this unit to be +/- 1 yard accurate. I started by measuring out a 150 yard distance at 50 yard increments with a rolling measuring tape. Then compared the two and the range finder was exactly on approximately 85% of the time. Otherwise is was +/- 1 yard. It will be accurate out to 550 on a very reflective target like a tin barn. I actually got mine to read 575 on a tin barn.A:Â
not waterproof and is accurate up to 400 yds on something like a deer 550 yds on a reflective targetA:Â
I don't know about 550 yds. but I spotted a deer at 450 yds the other day. If waterproof, I'd say yes.1 of 1
