Best rings I've used I wish these things were around 10 years ago. Super easy to mount on your gun and super easy to mount your scope too as well. Not to mention they are super strong. I bought a CVA muzzleloader on clearance and a bushnell scope on sale to go along with it. The gun had to be sent back to be fixed 3 times and its still not right, the ocular lense on my scope came loose and my scope fell apart........Had them on and off the gun 4 times due to repairs and the rings and screws are still perfect and you can really get some torque on the screws. The rings are the best thing on the gun by far. One thing is for sure I have found out how great these rings are and every other gun I have will have these rings on them and nothing else........Guaranteed July 30, 2009
The Good And Tha Bad When you purchase your new muzzleloader you have just spent some good money, your choice of rings and bases should be no different ,use to be good rings and bases could run as much as $75.00 -$100.00 but no more the new Redhead Z-2 Integral scope Mounts are as tough as they come, easy to install, great fit to barrel for easy aligment, good fit to scope tube so give they a try you"ll be glad you did. old fit. I have an old CVA Magnum Hunter 50 cal, which I have had for over 20 years and I have been looking for a single set of bases and rings for this rifle. These are the best system I have ever found. As for the three hole system that just makes it easier to use these mounts on a lot of different rifles.Plus use some liquid plastic and you will not have to worry about rust. Well made, but extra hole a drawback Although these are very well made mounts, each mount/base has three holes for more interchangeability between firearm types. I understand the need to manufacturer a more interchangeable mount to reduce cost, etc., but I personally consider the extra holes a drawback since my gun only has two holes for each, not sure if any manufacturer taps their barrels with three per base. But anyway, because of this feature there will always be an extra/empty hole on each base which may introduce water, dirt, etc. and become a corrosion issue even with proper cleaning. If there had been some kind of cap to insert into the unused hole that may have been a good solution for this issue, but there wasn't. I ended up using the one-peice CVA Durasight Dead-On Mount. Same manufacturer, but a much better design and fit on my Accura V2; no extra holes. If you don't mind the extra holes and it fits your gun, than this product will probably work for you.
