I have an old CVA Magnum Hunter 50 cal,which I have had for over 20 years and I have been looking for a single set of bases and rings for this rifle.These are the best system I have ever found.As for the three hole system that just makes it easier to use these mounts on a lot of different rifles.Plus use some liquid plastic and you will not have to worry about rust.

I purchased this mount and ring set for a CVA 270 rifle. I had a problem finding the correst ring and mount set. This set fit perfetly and looked great on the rifle.

I have a CVA muzzleloader ACCURA with a Nikon muzzleloader scope. These scope mounts ( 1 inch diameter) fit perfectly on both of them & I'm very happy with them. Except, it says silver color but when I got them, it's gray color!!! Although, I still keep them any way.

Although these are very well made mounts, each mount/base has three holes for more interchangeability between firearm types. I understand the need to manufacturer a more interchangeable mount to reduce cost, etc., but I personally consider the extra holes a drawback since my gun only has two holes for each, not sure if any manufacturer taps their barrels with three per base. But anyway, because of this feature there will always be an extra/empty hole on each base which may introduce water, dirt, etc. and become a corrosion issue even with proper cleaning. If there had been some kind of cap to insert into the unused hole that may have been a good solution for this issue, but there wasn't. I ended up using the one-peice CVA Durasight Dead-On Mount. Same manufacturer, but a much better design and fit on my Accura V2; no extra holes. If you don't mind the extra holes and it fits your gun, than this product will probably work for you.
