RedHead® XTR Hiking Boots for Youth
Hiking Boot Review
I received the order for my grandson's boots very promptly as usual from BassPro. The boots fit very well. My grandson says they are very comfortable. Thanks again for the good service.

I PURCHASED AROUND ABOUT 6 MOS AGO BECAUSE I WANTED SOMETHING FOR HUNTING SEASON OTHER THAN THE NORMAL HEAVY BOOTS.I AM A FEMALE UNDER 5' AND IT'S SO HARD TO LOCATE SOMETHING THAT DOES'NT WEIGHT YOU DOWN,THESE DON'T.THE ONES I BOUGHT ARE A YOUTHS SIZE 3.5 WHICH IS ABOUT A LADIES SIZE 6 AND THE FIT IS PERFECT.THE ONLY DRAWBACK IS THEY STARTED COMING APART WHERE THE SOLE ATTACHES TO THE BOTTOM THE THE FOOT PART,COULD BE THAT I WEAR THEM EVERY DAY AND I JUST WORE THEM OUT,AND YES I DO PLAN ON BUYING ANOTHER PAIR REAL SOON-FOR THE PRICE YOU CAN'T BEAT THEM ..

I have abused these boots beyond belief. I broke them in hiking last summer on Pikes Peak in Co. They have hiked in the Rockies, and the smokies. They have been soaked, muddied, and dried in the sun. After a year of abuse, I finally need another pair. However, as I say that, they are on my feet. They have super exceeded my expectations. Last Spring I was on my way up to Bass-Pro to get another pair and got side tracked. I ended up buying another pair / brand from somewhere else. They are already dead, and I am back to my old RedHeads. This is my first RedHead boot, but next week I hope to get back up to BassPro and get an identical pair. I first purchased these boots on account of their price. If the price doubled tomorrow, I would still buy them.

I purchased 2 pairs online in June 2014, I already returned one pair as the sole separated from the upper part of the shoe. The replacement pair is doing the same thing. The most abuse the shoe gets is walking across wet grass in the morning. It seems the glue holding the top and sole together dissolves when wet.
I would not recommend this in any wet/damp area.
