Rated 4 out of 5 by 44 reviewers.
Rated 3 out of 5 by Not bad but not great Works well, and is smooth. The screw that holds to the wrist strap wore threw quick, like in 2 months of shooting a few times a week. February 25, 2013
Rated 4 out of 5 by Best for cheap Very nice for $30. But it will tear a d loop up fast. I'd buy again tho. But I did replace with a tru fire when had extra money. February 21, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by bow release I bought this release after shooting with it in the archery range at bass pro and i loved it. The release was very smooth and it had a very light trigger. It wasn't til around 200 shots with the bow that I noticed the release was tearing up the D-loop. After getting the loop replace the same thing happened again. It is very inconvenient especially if you love shooting bow. I don't recommend this release because even thought it has never failed it will really tear up your D-loop which will cause problems. Rated 5 out of 5 by Great product After shooting from the hand this was a great relief. this is my first release and it is comftable and reliable. i havent used it to hunt yet but have shot hundreds of times at target and it still works just fine no problems yet i would definetly recommened this its affordable and works great January 13, 2013

Was wondering how long the trigger is from the strap? Is it adjustable at that point I have long fingers and don't want to get a short release and then have a returning hassle.

Due to a wrist injury I found something called a Ripshot release that attaches above the elbow so that it doesn't put any strain on the wrist. It doesn't come with a release head.

No. This is fixed head and you wouldn't want to remove it for any reason or suffer functionality concerns.

Yeah you could take it off and attach it to something else I'm sure. It's got an exposed nut holding release head to strap, wouldn't be tough I wouldn't think

You can't adjust the trigger pull. Keep your finger firmly behind it on the draw back and don't lay your finger on it until you're ready to shoot. You WANT a hair trigger that will go off with slightly more than a stiff breeze for proper release.

My D-loop did experience wear, but I probably had over 1,000 shots on it, too.

I want to know if a teen, ages 11 to 12, can use this release? Is it adjustable or is it only suited for larger hand sizes? Don't want to order this and then have to send it back.

A:
The strap would be very bulky on a child's wrist. Lengthwise, it would depend on the child. It is adjustable, but the 1/2-3/4" of adjustability may not be enough.
