this is the best release ive ever used which has been many, my grandpa showed it to me when he bought it and i loved it and bought one for myself. it has nice padding which makes it very comfortable. i also have full trust in it and like the hair trigger. the only problem is that it doesnt adjust out as far as id like but i like very long releases

Rated 2 out of 5Â by BlackoutFan Not the release for me
Ok here goes. Keep in mind this is MY opinion based on MY experience.
I bought this release to pair with my new Blackout. I needed a release quick and didn't want to break the bank. I purchased this because I have always been a fan of Redhead products.
What I did like: The release itself is very comfortable. The strap was soft and took no breaking in. The trigger break is clean and crisp (I wish my rifle were like that). And it's an attractive release. Very appealing. If you aren't particular about your release and just need something more consistent than finger shooting OR are new to archery and need a starter release, this may be for you.
What I didn't like: This is not for a guy with smaller wrists. I'm a very big guy, but I have tiny joints. The barrel and head are very adjustable, but you can't seem to tighten it enough, just wants to come untightened. This hurt my consistency... tremendously. If you like a short release... this is not for you. Most importantly, the dual calipers on this particular release ate up my d-loop. I've ordered a Scott Little Goose. I won't shoot until I go pick it up and have my d-loop replaced.
Again, It's only $30. I would recommend it. Try it and see If you like it then hey, it was $30 well spend. If you don't, it was only $30 and you can return it.
Keep it safe and consistent!

Rated 5 out of 5Â by wralyn Great low cost release
I'm trying to return to archery after a 20 year hiatus and need to get things going on a tight budget. I found a release at my local discount department store and found it very uncomfortable. Later in the week, I stopped by the nearest Bass Pro store and found this one. For only eight dollars more I was able to get a comfortable release with more features than the other one. I'm glad I kept my receipt. The Redhead also fits my large wrist/hand. I'm a REALLY big guy and have found wrist size to be an issue for some releases. This one fits with no problem.

Due to a wrist injury I found something called a Ripshot release that attaches above the elbow so that it doesn't put any strain on the wrist. It doesn't come with a release head.Answers

Yeah you could take it off and attach it to something else I'm sure. It's got an exposed nut holding release head to strap, wouldn't be tough I wouldn't thinkDetails:Â
The pull on mine is too light and will go off with a bump.Answers

You can't adjust the trigger pull. Keep your finger firmly behind it on the draw back and don't lay your finger on it until you're ready to shoot. You WANT a hair trigger that will go off with slightly more than a stiff breeze for proper release.Q:Â

Has anyone had any consistency issues with this release? And has it eaten up anyone else's d-loop?

I want to know if a teen, ages 11 to 12, can use this release? Is it adjustable or is it only suited for larger hand sizes? Don't want to order this and then have to send it back.Answers

The strap would be very bulky on a child's wrist. Lengthwise, it would depend on the child. It is adjustable, but the 1/2-3/4" of adjustability may not be enough.A:Â
