RedHead Ultimate Flannel Shirts for Men
These are thick but run big
These are the thickest flannels I've found for this price but run big. I'm 6'2" 250lbs and wear an xxl in everything and ordered an xxl tall. I was swimming in this thing. I gave it to my nephew who is 6'4" and 280lbs and it fits him great and he loves it. I then ordered a xl tall which fits great but too long since I wear my shirt untucked. If I were to tuck it into my pants it would be perfect. I love the Red Head brand which is durable and long lasting which I believe these will be the same. Hopefully the store has my xl size and I will be a happy camper. I looked at my other Red Head shirts and they are XL's so I should have stayed with with that.

Redhead Ultimate Shrinkage Test
I purchased 3 Redhead Ultimate flannel shirts, XLT, solely on the basis of the claim of being virtually shrink-free. As a tall person it is difficult to order flannel shirts that have the proper sleeve length after washing/drying. I submitted one of the shirts to a test. Without ever wearing the shirt I washed it in "warm" water and for the setting of the dryer used "medium". The dimensions prior to washing were: 37" sleeve, and 36.5" from base of the collar to the tail of the shirt. After washing and drying the dimensions were: 36" sleeve and 34.5" from base of collar to the tail of the shirt. I washed and dried the shirt only once. From the data one can see that the sleeve shrunk 1", and the body of the shirt shrunk 2". As to a conclusion, I will let the reviewer decide for himself or herself. I plan to return the shirts.

Mine is a red blue-looks real good, very comfortable, not binding anywhere. It was on sale, which I think was the price it should always have been. Can't say anything negative about the shirt. I'd buy another one, but only if it was the same price.

I was impressed with the shirt when I first received it and when I wore it. However, after it was washed it was a wrinkled, puckered mess. It will require extensive ironing just to make it look halfway presentable. It is not carefreee and in fact will require too much care to make it a practical shirt. I'm very disappointed.
