comfort or support?
The boots look great, they are comfortable, so why dont I like them? Comfort and function are two different things. Boots are supposed to be comfortable and supportive. Thats why most people need boots in the outdoors. When I hike in the rainforests there are a lot of obstacles ranging from chest high foliage to running rivers and climbing rugged terrain. The boots are comfortable, but offer little ankle support. This is because of the configuration of the lacing loops. You have to get creative with tying your boots to get the support you need. Also the threads on the double stitched toe have already frayed out. If you are looking for a casual hunting boot they will do, if you are looking for a rugged outdoor work boot you might want to keep shopping.

Have been wearing these boots daily 12 hrs. a day for work in the woods the last three weeks. They are very comfortable, half the weight of my last steel toe boots, and provide strong ankle and arch support, Like all boots they need waterproof oiling. The lace system is a little odd, there's a gap where no speed lace hooks exist, but I just give it one wrap around the shoe in that spot and they never untie. If they are still in production when these wear out, I'll definitely buy another pair like them.

I wore a pair of Timberland Pros for 6 years and they were great. These boots are even better! Great pair of boots, worth the extra $$$ over the Timberland boots.
