During this 2010 Turkey season I shot a great tom with an 11 1/2 in. beard and 1 1/2 in. spurs. I was using the cheap rubber intruder jake and hen decoys. They worked out good but later in the season I had two toms come about 60 yds. and turn the other way. I was trying to call them in for my dad but they wouldn't get that extra 15 or 20 yds. into range. So the second to last day i went to buy a decoy. It came down to buying this or the b mobile.
I chose this one because in real life it had a better paintjob and I liked the stake because it looks lke legs.I used it once but could not strike a bird But it still looked great. This decoy looks like an actual tom, not lying. Once I bring it out again I will write another review on this, but so far im loving this decoy.

NICE! I was looking to buy a strutting decoy. After reading all the good reviews, I decided on the Redhead one. I don't mind paying more for something of good quality, and I'm very impressed with the quality of this one. A few minutes with the hair dryer, and the packaging kinks came right out. The fan assembly looks great and is super-easy. Even the ground stakes are strong, quality stakes. Sure, it might intimidate the occasional 2-year-old, but overall, it will be a great addition to my decoys. Can't wait to see how that older, dominate gobbler reacts to it!

Seriously, this is a great decoy. I got-r-done on my first trip hunting turkeys this year with this decoy in about 20 minutes. The bird flew down off a bluff to our calls 50 yards west of our gobbler and hen decoys. I confess he wasn't expecting the gobbler decoy. He thought long and hard for about 5 minutes and then decided to man-up. He was pushing the decoy when I shot him. The bird was probably a 3 year old. This, like all other "boss" gobbler decoys may scare some 2 year old birds but it's dynamite for everything else. This decoy is a bargain. It's lightweight, folds down, the stake is excellent, the realism is unbelievable, especially the head and eyes. But the best part of this decoy is the INGENIOUS tail piece. It allows you to simply pull each of the 18 tail feathers from the real bird, plug them in the holder and place the fan in the back of the decoy. Whoever invented this is a ROCKET SCIENTIST, no kidding. No more messing with fleshing and staking and drying fans!!

to replace the beard you will probably have to take a beard from a turkey you have killed and glue/secure that beard into the holder on the decoy

It is very stiff rubber. Will be difficult to fold or rollA:Â
it is collapsable but not a lot you can pretty much just fold it in half but i dont recommend leaving it that way for too long if you do you'll have to leave it on the stand in the sun for awhile or take a hair dryer to it on warm heat to bring it back to full shapeA:Â
no it will not fit in vest but comes with light hunter orange bag easy to have on back of vestA:Â
I would say that it can be rolled but i personally did not. I have a pretty large game bag on my vest and was able to put it in it without having to roll it up.A:Â
