RedHead® Stock Cartridge Carriers
This is a quality made cartridge carrier that holds ammo well but it seems to slide down on the stock frequently. It also adds enough weight when fully loaded to be noticable when taking your shot. I would not recommend this for hunting but for a home protection shotgun that needs extra ammo close and available this is the perfect product.

This fits quite snugly on my Mossberg 590A1. The hole for the sling stud is right where it should be. Holds shells very tight, they're not going anywhere. It does add weight to the gun but I actually prefer to have a little weight on the stock for my particular gun, it is much more balanced now (very heavy barrel). Only reason for losing a star is that the rear shell loop is a bit smaller than the rest (although that's better than being too big). Also, the appearance is just a little rough. Looks fine on my parkerized/synthetic gun but if I had a "purdy" shotgun with a walnut stock, this would definitely look a bit out of place.

I bought this item for my H&R 20g ultra slug hunter. It fit well and holds 20g shells tightly. Unfortunately, the item showed up in an already opened package that clearly was a return. The tag was bent and damaged and bag cut open. Then when I inspected it the stitching on the bottom was very shoddy, coming apart, and had gaps in it. It almost looked like some did a poor job trying to fix it. I'm exchanging it and hopefully I'll get one that is in better condition. If the new one sent to me is what I except from a new product, I'll amend this review and give it the proper rating. A truly new, well stitched one of these would get 4 stars easily, if not 5.

Needs some work
This is great for the shotgun hunter and those doing some light practice shooting, but I was dissappointed with the preformance slightly. The shells were held, but they could be knocked free with the right bump. Also I would like to see a shell carrier that was fitted for tapered stocks, as well as, one that would hold more than 5 shells for a shotgun
