RedHead® Squaltex® II BONE-DRY® Rain Jackets for Men
I bought this item for elk hunting. It is flexable and quiet, and breathable. The camo pattern looks great.

I purchased the Squaltex jacket and pants for myself a couple years ago, wore them throughout Spring Turkey season here in Ohio, and then again for Deer season, from opening day of Archery season, gun season and all the way into February at the end of archery season. I loved and trusted the gear so much that I bought another set for my son's 16th birthday. I probably should have purchased some dedicated winter-weight hunting clothing, but honestly never needed it this past year. The pants and jacket can be layered underneath to make it as warm as necessary. I also purchased Bass Pro's brand of scent-killer thermal underwear to stay warmer in winter, and backed it up with a down coat underneath the jacket for when it got really cold/blustery/snowy. It works! As the name describes, it will keep you "bone dry". It's also wind-proof for those windy days afield. It has a nice soft fabric-like feel outside, with a soft black mesh liner, similar to some athletic apparel. Very comfortable. Absolutely a good value for "All-around" use. The only downsides I can think of: Be careful running through briars, as this stuff is not Carhartt gear. It will snag and tear if you're not careful. And it actually gets a little too warm for late spring hunting, even with just a t-shirt and underwear. Overall, I highly recommend this gear.

First time I looked at them so I cannot say what was redesigned. They did use Velcro on the pocket flap. I really do not think that in it self would prevent me from this purchase. I mean I want to stay out longer to hunt in the rain and I do not have to use the pockets if I want to be silent.
