RedHead® Silent-Hide® Insulated Bibs for Men
It's All About the Pockets
I'm guessing most deer hunters are like me. We pack our pockets full of stuff. Unfortunately the pockets on these bibs are poorly thought out, at least for me. The chest pockets are set at an awkward angle. For me, they are very difficult to get to. The zipper goes up and down and you reach into them to get stuff out, unlike what I've been used to in the past. Chest pockets that load up and down. These bibs also lack cargo pockets. How do you leave cargo pockets off hunting pants or bibs is beyond me. I always shove my gloves and treestand harness suspension strap into my cargo pants along with other misc stuff...now where do I put them? Other than that the bibs are comfortable, fit well, and are warm. If the pocket issue was better thought out, these would have received a 4.

I have been using a pair of these bibs going on about 10 years and I love them. They have held up under the roughest hunting conditions. I have used them in temps down to the teens. With a light weight pair of longjohns, good pair of pants and these bibs I stay warm. They are super quiet which is very important when you are in close hunting. I love the way they come up high in the front and back. This really helps to keep my core warm. I wish other bibs were this way. If BPS would add a waterproof membrane these would be the only bibs I would wear. Very comfortable and easy to get in and out of. I have not had any problems with stiching or zippers failing. I am in the market for another pair this year and you can bet I will buy these again. I would like cargo pockets on the sides.

Purchased these for cold weather bow hunting, this is an addition to the jacket with hood I purchased previously, also 100 grams thermolite insulated. First time out temperature running at -17, threw on 2 base layers, wool sweater, bib and jacket, bib covers chest and back so well I walked into stand with jacket off so I didn't overheat. At no time was I cold, material is quiet, zippers run almost to hip which is nice for on/off. Enough pockets which are accessible for gear. Gave these a 4 as the one improvement would be waterproof, Redhead sells the Stalker Elite with this rating but some research quickly showed me they are too noisy for a bow hunter. Hope this helps.

First day hunting the front zip stitching began to unravel. Because I would not be able to return the overalls for 2 weeks I bought a small sewing kit and repaired them myself. After 2 weeks the stitching to one of the pockets is also unraveled. I figure I will keep them for gardening and replace them next year with another type and brand..
