RedHead® Safe Dri Rechargeable Moisture Control is the last moisture control device you'll ever need! Moisture absorbing silica gels crystals turn from blue to pink when saturated. These safe-to-use gels reactivate easily by simply placing in the oven according to the directions.
RedHead® Safe Dri Rechargeable Moisture Control
I bought my first one a little over a year and a half ago and recently purchased a new one for my other safe.
It's great, about 10% of the crystals turn Pink when it needs recharging, then just put it in the oven till that 10% or so turns Blue let it cool and put it back into the safe.
The only way it could be better is if it had a quarter or half turn top so you don't spill anything.
If it was any other material you could not put it in the oven..
I love em!

works for me
I have used this product for about a year now and have been very pleased with it. I saw one review that said that "all of the beads should turn blue and never turned. Only about 10% of them are supposed to turn blue when they are dry.

Instructions say to heat at 250 degrees F. for 2-4 hrs. until all the beads turn blue. I placed the beads on a cookie sheet as instructed and I can cook them forever and they won't turn blue. Sorry product!

Good to have
I recently purchased a RedHead gun safe and figured I should have these in there to keep moisture out. I have not had any problems with it yet.

I left the can in my oven for 4 hrs last night @ 250. Maybe only a dozen or two only turned back blue. This is the second time I did this. I purchsed the product only 4 months ago. Do I have some bad beads and if so, can I return to swap out??
You are supposed to remove the can when in the oven. To help speed the process, try putting them in a cookie sheet (with raised edges) and following the same process (also be sure to crack the oven door to draw out moisture).
