RedHead® Roark Waterproof Hiking Boots for Men
Flat and level only -- NOT for climbing
I have worn these boots for a year now after getting them at the Foxborough store on sale for the unbelievable price of $49. The good news is they are dry and very comfortable -- felt like a running shoe from first wearing. The bad news is the tread is TOTALLY inadequate for any sort of climbing. I was slipping off dry rocks left and right. Have since gotten different boots with good old, aggressive and deep Vibram soles for NH's White Mtns. If your hiking is on mostly level woods roads/trails, have at it. If you are going to climb -- forget these!

BEST BOOT EVER!!!
I have been working in a wet environment for over 40 years. I have had many of the good brands of work and hiking boots: Chippewa, Danner, Rocky, New Balance, Merrill, Timberland. $100 to $200 or more. I have never had a work or hiking boot this comfortable. These were comfortable from day 1. Almost NO noticeable breakin period. They got full of concrete dust one day, so I cleaned them while wearing them with a high pressure gun, about 1000psi and my feet stayed BONE DRY. I have had many boots with Gortex and other so called waterproofing and never had a leather boot keep my feet so dry. I got them on sale at Bass Pro Myrtle Beach for $69. Easily worth the $99 standard price.
I HIGHLY recommend these boots over any boot any price :)
I hope they offer a winter version with about 1000g Thinsulate

Great all around boot
I have been waiting for these to go on sale. A buddy of mine has a couple of pair of them and can't say enough good things about them, so I thought I would try them out.
I usually where an 8 1/2-9W, but they only have them in 8 1/2- 9M, so I got a pair of 9 1/2 W. That turned out to be a mistake. They fit terribly and really hurt my feet. After wearing them for half a day I took them back. I decided to try a pair of 9M just for laughs. Turns out these boots run a little wide and fit my feet perfectly.
They are extremely comfortable and light. Not sure about the breathe-ability of the boots, but that is okay. I think I will start wearing these instead of my tennis shoes because they are just so comfortable. I liked them so much I bought 2 pair, and at the sale price of $59.97, it is almost like buying 2 pair for the price of one.
Do your feet a favor and get a pair or two. And if you wear a wide shoe, try out a medium, they just might work for you.
