Protect your guns with these rugged, heavily padded cases--the best soft-sided protection you can get, at an incredibly affordable price. With 7/8'' of dense foam padding, tough exterior fabric, snagproof synthetic lining, YKK self-healing zipper. Imported.

Built with durable black PVC armor and tough 600 denier fabric. Has a large exterior pouch with wrap around handles and rubber cup ends. Color: Black with camo trim.

Rated 4.6 out of 5 by 22 reviewers.
Rated 4 out of 5 by Worth it. Super padded...thicker than average. A bit cheesy due to the diamond plated rubber areas...but it functions well. Pocket is useful. The shoulder strap it comes with is sort of awkward. I can't get it to work very well, but I don't plan on using it much. I had a $25 gift card and paid only $12 in cash, for that value you can beat it. March 4, 2013
Rated 1 out of 5 by Ok but better options for the money Zipper not YKK as advertised. Interior foam padding offers extra protection, but interior lining torn after one hunting trip. January 7, 2013
Rated 5 out of 5 by A Rifle's Best Friend Pictured is the the shotgun version of the PVC Armor guncase. The rifle case I purchased has the humped pattern that will house a scoped rifle. Excellent and tough construction. Great value for the money. November 19, 2012
Rated 4 out of 5 by Excellent gun case This is an excellent gun case for the price! It fits my son's scoped 30-30 well; provides adequate protection; and looks nice as well. October 29, 2012

will my mossberg 500 fit and lock in the case?

Answers

A:
The Redhead armored guncase is not lockable. I bought the rifle version, but measure your Mossberg to see if it will fit in the shotgun case pictured.

The Redhead armored gun case has two traverse-mounted 1 1/4" D-rings on opposite sides of the case that the included sling can be attached to, so you could probably tie it off to your saddle.

This case has a thick profile with plenty of dense foam, so I think it would be a bit cumbersome strapped to a saddle.

This picture doesn't show it will fit a scope. I have a side by side shotgun so its shorter and want the shorter case for it but not if it is built for a scope.

A:
My 48" case appears wider than the picture shows, easiy fits a scope...maybe the shot gun 53" is narrower? I put a 46" shot gun in the rifle case.

yes, just keep the scope where the PVC is and you shouldn't have a problem closing the zipper.

Not likely its very flimsy.

A:
This is not a floating water tight case, but with that said I do believe that it has enough dense foam to float the heaviest of guns, it just might not be a dry gun once retrieved.
